Kaitlin + Austin’s Garden of the Gods Micro-Wedding

Kaitlin and Austin’s Garden of the Gods micro-wedding was the kind of day that makes you fall in love with love all over again. These two lovebirds from Oklahoma picked Colorado for their big day, and what a day it was!

Starting off in Denver for their first look, we found a semi-private spot right by their hotel that had less of a ‘city feel’. It was just the two of them, sharing this super sweet moment. I could feel the anxious excitement buzzing between them, and I’m pretty sure you can see it in the pictures, too.

After the first look, we were off to Garden of the Gods for the main event – their micro-wedding! If you didn’t know, a micro-wedding typically has a guest count of 50 or less and has a shorter and much more simplistic timeline than a traditional full-day wedding. Micro-weddings will often have a quick ceremony followed by a more casual, relaxed reception. Kaitlin and Austin chose Jaycee Plaza for their ceremony – big enough for their crew of 50 but still felt super intimate.

Colorado afternoons in the summer can be tricky with those surprise thunderstorms, but thankfully, Mother Nature was on our side. We saw some storm clouds brewing, but they just hung out in the distance, making for some dramatic backdrops. Post-ceremony, we dove right into group pictures and the marriage license signing. Kaitlin and Austin were radiating with happiness – the kind of glow you get when everything’s just perfect. Afterward, we roamed around the park, racing against the incoming rain. And, man, did we nail it! Kaitlin and Austin were totally unfazed by the weather, and the storm added this wild, wind-swept, romantic vibe to the photos.

Their wedding wasn’t just about the location or the photos, though. It was about them, their love, and living in the moment – rain or shine. Kaitlin and Austin’s day was a reminder that sometimes, the best plan is just to go with the flow.

Big shoutout to these two for bringing such awesome energy and showing us how it’s done. Your day was a testament to the magic that happens when you just embrace the journey.
