Most couples don’t envision their wedding day looking like the inside of a snow globe – Kelly and Daniel were no exception. Kelly and Daniel traveled all the way from Chicago to elope here in Colorado. They wanted to exchange vows somewhere nice with epic mountain views, so they chose Lost Gulch Lookout up on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, CO.
Their elopement was in October, and when you think of a wedding taking place in the fall, you expect some colorful leaves and cool weather. Well…the night before their elopement, it “drizzled” in Boulder. Only thing is, the temps kept dropping, and everything froze over.
As I made my way up Flagstaff Mountain I noticed how beautiful everything looked! It really did look like something you’d see inside of a snow globe. Still, I was nervous to see how Kelly and Daniel were feeling about the unexpected weather. Like absolute rockstars, these two showed up with the best attitude and were more than happy to exchange their mountain views for a complete whiteout. Their elopement was nothing short of magical. The ceremony was short and sweet but rich speaking to the good times and the bad – with a few jokes thrown in, of course. Laughter was abundant, and we may have slipped on ice a handful of times (by we, I mean me). All in all, I absolutely adore Kelly and Daniel; it was such an honor to capture all of the sweet moments that unfolded during their elopement.

“Dani was the absolute PERFECT photographer for my elopement in Boulder, CO on 10.23.20…I instantly felt at ease…like we had been friends for years. She went above and beyond…She was helpful with my dress and holding my coat if I needed her to. I just cannot say enough wonderful things about Dani! On top of what a delight she is as a person, her photos are incredible! Keep in mind these were taken in 30 degree temps. This woman is a trooper and I will forever be grateful for the memories she captures for my husband and me!”
