This engagement session at Rock Springs/Kelly Park in Apopka, Florida, has to be one of my absolute favorites! Julia and Adam described themselves as the outdoorsy type and are happiest when they’re on a trail, in a lake, or on a mountain. They also share a love for craft beer; They actually met when Julia worked at a local brewery. Adam’s job was right next door – so you could say love was brewing!
They love traveling and exploring new places, so when they reached out to shoot, I knew just the place! Kelly Park/Rock Springs is a not-so-hidden gem in Apopka. People line up at the gate early in the morning, hoping to make it in before they reach capacity – but the park usually fills up within 45 minutes to an hour. Crazy right! Well, if you camp at Kelly Park/Rock Springs, you have access to the springs before the park opens and after it closes. That is exactly what Adam and Julia did!
We got to the park, enjoyed some drinks around the fire at their campsite, then made our way down to the springs. It was the ultimate VIP experience. Not a single person around. Just the three of us goofing around and having a fantastic time. We explored. We laughed. And of course, we ended the shoot with a dip in the springs – how could we not?!
