Spring in Colorado always keeps us on our toes — and Abbey + Jaiquan’s snowy spring elopement at Lily Lake was the perfect example of embracing whatever the day brings. With their son and two close friends by their side, these two shared their first look just outside their cozy cabin, surrounded by fresh snowbanks taller than we expected. A full-on blizzard rolled through the day before, dumping feet of snow and making the parking lot to Lily Lake completely inaccessible. But that didn’t stop them. Jaiquan, absolute MVP, plowed through thigh-deep snow with a giant grin on his face, carving out a perfect little path to a tucked-away ceremony spot in the overflow parking lot — and honestly, you’d never know it wasn’t the original plan.
Eloping in Colorado in the spring means being ready for anything — bluebird skies, surprise snowstorms, or a whole lotta mud. But if you’re down to go with the flow and trust the process, the experience (and the photos) will be so worth it. Abbey + Jaiquan’s spring elopement at Lily Lake turned into a snowy adventure full of laughter, deep love, and the kind of spontaneous moments that make elopements unforgettable.
